Accelerated Reader
Dear Mom and Dad,
Your children will be participating in the Accelerated Reader program this year. This program has proven to be a valuable tool in encouraging students to read and to strive for excellence in reading. Research indicates that participation in the Accelerated Reader program develops reading comprehension and enhances the overall reading experience. Students are encouraged to reach reading goals each nine weeks, and those who reach these goals are rewarded with a celebration at the end of each nine weeks. We want to give your child every opportunity to participate in all of Accelerated Reader celebrations throughout the year.

Nine Week Goals
When students meet their goal, their picture will be showcased in front of the library. Students who meet their goals 3 out of the 4 Nine Weeks will be invited to attend a special show at the end of the year.
AR STORE
Students will be able to use their AR points at a special AR Store held in the library. The store will be open twice a year, once in December and once in May.
